![]() ![]() Is anyone actually doing ALL (or at least 90%) of their drum mixing inside Superior and not routing out to your DAW? It seems like a very clean and tidy way to go, but I'm not sure how good the built in effects are compared to my 3rd party Slate/Fabfilter/Waves/etc plugins. I can't help but feel like a Superior 3.0 would truly be the thing that would get me excited.Īnyone still using EZD2 for writing/arranging, and then switching to Superior for mixing? I'm feeling like maybe Superior would be a good tool for the mix phase, after all my drum arranging was done, but it's a pretty old piece of software. It sounds clunkier than it is I suppose, but I sort of feel like maybe Superior would be a good solution. So I'll just mirror MIDI the MIDI on another Instrument track and load the different EZX, then remove whatever pieces I don't want added. When the song begins to take better shape and gets near the final mix phase, I'll often want to mix in other kit pieces from other EZX packs. As it is, I'll often choose one EZX in EZD2, and route it out. I worked simpler then though, and tended to just use a stereo instance of EZD2, and never routed out to my DAW. I ended up not really touching Superior and I sold it. And they kept pumping out killer EZX kits. I got the Metal Foundry SDX and liked it a ton, way better than EZD. Then when Superior came out, I bought into it. I'm looking at the sale that's happening again for Superior crossgrade at $99. ![]()
